In  the field of Business Management and  Computer  Science, Rakshpal  Bahadur  Management Institute,Bareilly is a center for  value   based  management  education.  It has been established  with    the   benevolence  and   support  of    Harrow  Educational   Society, Bareilly. The Institute is dedicated to  Cherished memory  of the Late Shri Rakshpal Bahadur, who served as Chief  Engineer  in  the UP Government, a  man  of philanthropic ethos. The focus is  on value based  education and continuously  striving  for  excellence  in education, training, research and consultancy in the field of management, technology and education.

Rakshpal Bahadur Management Institute, Bareilly was established in 1996 under the aegis of Harrow Educational Society(estd.1981). The focus is on value based education and continuous striving for excellence in education,training, research and consultancy in the field of management technology and education. The institute is professionally managed and integrates a mix of rich corporate experience and best traditions in academics.

Campus

The Rakshpal Bahadur Management Institute has been established on Faridpur by-pass road near ITBP Campus and Doordarshan Kendra on the outskirts of Bareilly city for excellence in management education. It is only six kms away from Bareilly Jn. railway station. Being away from the city's noise and pollution and surrounded by green belts, the campus provides a healthy, modern and congenial learning environment. The Institute campus is a blend of architectural innovation and functional convenience.

The campus has well organized infrastructural facilities that incorporate class rooms with latest teching aids, a carefully stocked library well equipped with International and National journals, state-of-the-art in-house computer centre which consists of the seven labs viz. Data Base, Networking, Multimedia ,Organisation ,Electronics ,Client-server Labs a series of syndicate, discussion and conference rooms, a well managed canteen providing delicious and hygienic snacks and meals, facilities for Indoor recreation, and separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.

Canteen

The Institute provides canteen facility located within the Institute Campus. The canteen serves tea/snacks /lunch to the students as per their needs. The idea is to take care of their snacks/ food requirements within the campus, facilitating their learning and education.

College Hostel

Hostel is a second home, which leaves a lasting impression in the life of a student.

The Management wishes the inmates to feel at home in a positive manner. They can utilise the facilities available in a meaningful and economic way.

"Father" will be treated as guardian necessarily. "Husband" in case of married students will be treated as guardian. If any other person is there as guardian, clarify. University reserves the right for its acceptability. No person will be accepted as Local guardian by rule as Chief warden of hostels is local guardian for all the students.

DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATE REQUIRED

The certificate required for Hostel admission should be issued by the respective competent authorities: A Medical Fitness Certificate (to be submitted by all) to be issued from a doctor certificate, handicapped (physically challanged certificate from CMO of the District; National or State Level parti cipation in sports certificate from Deputy Director of sports; War – Widows and daughters of Military personnel/ exservicemen should bring free Education Entitlement Card from a competent Military authority.

Two passport size photographs. Passport size photos and specimen signature of those persons/relatives who are allowed to see the hostelers. These must be authenticated by parents/ guardians.

RULES AND REGULATIONS :

  • Hostelers must occupy the rooms allotted to them and must not change their room without the permission of the warden. Final admission will be only given after medical examination by the Medical Officer and after depositing proper fee and approval of  Warden thereafter.
  • Resident students are expected to arrive a day before the term begins, with their own bedding (Mattresses-01, bed-sheet-02, bed- linen-02, pillow-01, pillow-cover-02, blanket-01 & Quilt-01), a lock, table-cover-01, table lamp-01, one plate, two glasses, a spoon, a mug, table-cover-01, table lamp-01.
  • Furniture will be issued to the resident-student against her signature. Before leaving the Hostel. He/she must obtain a certificate from the warden that the furniture issued has been returned in good condition.
  • They should not keep valuable and costly items in their rooms. They shall take due care of their belongings and deposit money in Bank or Post Office. 
  • Each hosteler should check the furniture & electrical fittings in his room at the time of occupation and take over the furniture & fittings in writing which are returnable at the time of vacating the room. Any loss or damage will be borne by concerned boarder.
  • Possession, consumption of Liquor and Narcotics and Gambling are strictly prohibited in the hostel campus.
  • Hostel reserves the right to refuse admission to those who are irregular in attendance or whose academic performance remained unsatisfactory in the previous year.
  • It is mandatory to follow the instructions of warden, regarding monitoring the discipline otherwise if may cause termination from hostels.
  • It is collective as well as individual responsibility of the students to keep the hostel premises clean and healthy.
  • Students should not create any inconvenience to the other students of the hostel.
  • Hostelers are not permitted to keep record-players, fire-arms or any electric gadget in their rooms. Defaulter will be imposed a fine of Rs. 500/- and the objects will be confiscated.
  • All the students will report for the routin roll-call daily at 8.00p.m and any student absenting herself withoutthe prior permission of the warden will be fined Rs.100/- per day. Disciplinary action will be taken against the defaulter. Attendance is compulsory during study hours between 8.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m.
  • Continued absence without permission will result in expulsion
  • All the inmates should leave the hostel at least 15 minutes before the commencement of the classes.
  • No student is allowed to stay in the hostel during college hours without prior permission from the Warden.
  • Hostelers are expected to be in the hostel before 7.00 p.m.(in summer) or 6.00 p.m.(in winter) Under unavoidable circumstances, they can be permitted after 6.00 p.m. with specific permission of the Warden.
  • The main gate of the hostel is closed at 7.00 p.m. and will be opened at 6.00 a.m. next morning. Hostellers can leave or enter in hostel with due permission when hostel gate is closed.
  • Hostlers can go for an outing with specific permission of the Warden only.
  • Hostelers falling sick should report to the Warden who will take necessary steps for treatment. For minor injuries and ailments, a first-aid box is available with the Warden.
  • No vehicle can be kept in the hostel.
  • Hostelers can go home, with the approval of the Warden.
  • The inmates are expected to vacate the room within a day after the institution closes for vacation or if they are asked to do so for any reason.
  • Hostelers will be held responsible for the damage to the rooms they occupy and things like fan, furniture, tube-light, switches, toilet, sink etc. In case of damage or disfigurement of any of the hostel property, they have to pay the cost & fine, as fixed by the Warden.
  • Students are advised not to bring valuables to the hostel. The Management will not be responsible for any loss that may be due to their negligence.
  • With the permission of the warden, the visitors shall meet their wards between 10 a.m to 5p.m. every Sunday, In the visitor's room in case of illness, after signing the visitor's register.
  • No visitor will be allowed during the college working hours without a letter of authority from the parents of the students in case of an emergency.
  • Parents should inform the Principal about the travelling arrangements proposed for their wards for the Holidays. They should check the departure/arrival reports of their wards at each visit to ensure their security. No student will be allowed to stay in the hostel during summer/wintor vacation after the University examination (Theory and Practical) are over.
  • After vacation or Holidays the resident- student must reach the hostel on the given date. In case of unavoidable delay, the parents should write directly to the warden, intimating the new date of their ward's arrival.
  • Dues(mess and washing) are chargeable from the date given by warden for rejoining the hostel after the winter vacation. 
  • Parents/Guardians of Hostelers should meet the Hostel Warden once every two months.
  • Cooking is not allowed in side the room.
  • Wearing dresses like night suit, night gown or dressing gown etc. is not allowed at Cafeteria or at the door/outside hostels.
  • Electrical stove, emersion rod etc. are not permissible at hostel. Such equipment if found in the hostel room will be taken and will not be returned at all, fine Rs 500/- will also be imposed.
  • No electrical appliance like tape - recorder, iron-box etc. should be used in the hostel.
  • All the correspondence by the students should be through the hostel.
  • It is prohibited for the students to either keep or use a mobile phone/ sim-card in the hostel campus. It a student is found using mobile phone then the phone shall be taken in hostel custody and such student shall be liable to disciplinary action. PCO facility is available is the hostel.
  • Breach of rules & regulations would cause termination from hostel and the decision of wardon will be final in this regard which will be acceptable to the guardian as well as to the student.
  • Defiance of the Hostel rules or misbehavior will render a resident- students liable to disciplinary action or even expulsion from the Hostel.

 MESS

  • To the hostelers should not enter the kitchen. If they do, a fine of Rs. 500/- will be levied.
  • The inmates should take meals, only in the Dining Hall during the Mess timings. No one will be allowed to take food, tea, milk etc to
    the room.
  • The Warden is vested with the right to fix the menu.
  • Hostelers are expected to adhere strictly to the timings.
  • Celebration of any kind of party in the hostel is not allowed.
  • Smoking and consuming of alcoholic drinks and any other drugs and intoxicants are strictly prohibited. Failure to comply with this, will be severely dealt with.
  • The inmates are advised not to indulge in disturbances which would spoil the atmosphere.
  • Ragging in any form is a punishable offence under the Government Rules/ UPTU Rules/ Institute rules.
  •  In the matter of discipline, control, accommodation and rules of general conduct, the decision of the Warden is final. The College urges the inmates to comply with the rules and regulations and to make their stay a pleasant one.

Health Centre

The Health Centre staffed by a visiting Doctor and a staff nurse offers dispensary service and consultancy for students and the staff. Pharmacy is also available in the Health Centre.

Library

The institute subscribes to leading Indian and International magazines and journals and a system of cross-referred access to information.It has a well-stocked library with more than 16000 reference and text books, more than 65 International /National Journals, 225 Academic and Training Video Cassettes/CDs, Management, IT and Education Encyclopedia, U.S. British and Indian Pharmacopeia, 316 on-line Journals, Unique Digital Library,
Research Surveys Year Books, 9 Dailies Reprographic facility.

It has books covering all aspects of Management and Information Technology and Engineering and Technology with the latest editions from the best Indian and foreign publishers.

Transport  

The Institute has own fleet of buses to provide transport facility throughout the city.
