RBMI , Bareilly is organising its 15th National Seminar on "Critical Issues in Corporate Governance-A Synthesis".

The Seminar

Corporate Governance has been an issue of debate since long. However, it got prominence in 90s when Sir Cadbury Committee was setup in UK in 1991 following the series of scandals in 80s. Since then many committees have been setup to guide on code of conduct, transparency issues, accountability issues, role of independent directors, composition of board, etc. Narayana Murthy Committee, Naresh Chandra Committee, Sarbeans- Oxley Report (USA), Blue Ribbon Report (USA), Turnbull Report (UK), etc. are the names of few committees which were setup by various National Governments in order to suggest the steps required to be taken by corporate world.

However, scandals throughout the world have always posed challenges before the business world and their malafied intentions have threatened the investor’s interest number of times.

To discuss how Corporate houses can orient their mindset for accountable and transparent governance of their respective businesses. RBMI invites active participation of deserving contributors in National Seminar being organized on the focal theme "Critical Issues in Corporate Governance-A Synthesis" on April 9,10,11,2009.
