Specific Rules of the Events:

1. Dances:

  • Time limit for each dance is maximum 3 minutes.
  • In group dance, max, 10 participants are allowed in a team.
  • The participants should make arrangements for CDs and Cassettes of their own.
  • One entry in each category is allowed from each College/ Institute/ Dept.
  • Folk dances should be from non-filmy origin & should have regional dance characteristics.
  • Western dance should be non-filmy on western beats/ English songs only.
  • Fusion dance- classical/folk dance on western beats and/or western dance on classical/ folk beats.
  • Classical dance should be on classical beats.

2. Aripana (Rangoli):

  • One participant is allowed from each college/ institute.
  • The participant will have to draw the design within 1 hour & no extra time will be given thereafter.
  • The space provided for Rangoli will be 2ft x 2ft.
  • No religious symbols or drawings are allowed.
  • Participants must arrange their own materials for Rangoli.
  • Participants will not be allowed to carry any paper work / design / drawing instrument with them.
  • Only free hand drawing is permissible.

3. Painting Competition:

  • One participant in each category is allowed from each college/ institute / dept.
  • Time allotted will be 1 hour and no extra time will be given thereafter.
  • The participants will have to bring their own colors, brushes, pencils, crayons, pallet, water bowls etc.
  • Participants will not be allowed to carry any paper work / Design with them.
  • All participants will draw on the art sheet with color combination of their own choice related to any one of the theme given below:
  • The theme for each category is:
  • Rangdhara - “Nature”
  • Canvas - “Global Warming”
  • Aakriti -“Social Evils”
  • Pratibimb -“Theme will be allotted on spot.”

4. Thitholi (Mimicry):

  • One participant will be allowed from each College/Institute.
  • The participant is expected to enact any personality/event for maximum 2 minutes.
  • Participant has to submit the name of event/personality going to be enacted to the concern committee before the programmed.

5. Kshanika (Skit):

  • Maximum time limited for each skit is 10 minutes.
  • One team with maximum 8 participants from each College/Institute is allowed.
  • Participating team will have to submit the script to the concern committee 2 hours before the event.
  • Materials/instrument required for skit will have to be arranged by the participants on their own.

6. Abhivyakti (Extempore):

  • One participant from each College/Institute is allowed.
  • Paper reading will not be allowed.
  • Participants will be asked to choose a topic randomly & speak for 3 min.
  • The time for preparation will also be 3 minutes.
  • Participant can speak either in Hindi or English.

7. Prashan- Manch (Quiz):

  • One team of two participants is allowed from each College/Institute.
  • Quiz will be in two phases.
  • Phase one will be written test of 40 minutes.
  • It will be conducted on day one and result will be declared on the same day.
  • Five teams will be selected for Final Phase based on performance in phase-1.
  • Final phase will be a live audio- visual phase comprising of question from various disciplines.
  • Final phase will have four rounds:

    Round 1- Regular question round.
    Round 2- Visual clip round.
    Round 3- Rapid fire round.
    Round 4- Buzzer round.


8. Samagam (The collage making):

  • One participant from each college/Institute is allowed.
  • The time allotted will be 60 minutes and no extra time will be given.
  • The participants will bring their own pasting material.
  • Only one art sheet for making collage will be provided to each participant by the Institute.
  • Participants will not be allowed to carry any design with them.
  • The theme is “Indian Diversity”.

9. Hina (The Mehandi Competition):

  • One participant is allowed from each college/Institute.
  • Time allotted will be 60 minutes and no extra time will be given thereafter.
  • The participants will have to bring mehandi on their own.
  • Participants will not be allowed to carry any Paper/Design with them.

10. Mukhauta (The Mine Competition):

  • Maximum time limit for each mime is 8 minutes.
  • Maximum 8 Participants can participate in a team.
  • Only one team allowed from every institute/college.
  • Dress should be black/white.
  • No helping material is allowed during presentation.
